A utility company operating out of the east of America approached GPT as they had encountered a leak and isolation failure following hydro-testing of their pipeline. The monolithic isolation joint (MIJ) they had installed had only been in service for one hour. This was not an isolated case, subsequently two more utilities companies approached GPT in short succession to report of similar failures during the installation and hydro-testing process.
