We are pleased to announce that the dates for the next GPT Univerisity Level III hands on training will be October 22, 23 and 24 2019.
GPT Level III Training is designed to provide an introduction to corrosion and flange isolation for the employees of GPT authorized distributors and endusers through a combination of classroom and hands-on activities. This training will give confidence to those in the industries concerned with pipeline corrosion and increased safety.
Course Design
Classroom time covers materials of construction, design, proper selection and recommendation, product features, installation and adjustment, competition and product failure. While product features are covered extensively, significant focus is also given to the benefits the customer derives from the use of the appropriate GPT products. During the hands-on experience, students electrically test gaskets and flanged joints, perform failure analysis, perform sealability testing and bolt up flanges as well as many other active and informative interactions with products. In addition to installing and testing gaskets, the hands-on portion provides each student with a ‘concrete experience'; a central principle in adult learning theory.
